[CSIGA : What is Csiga]
|
Csiga, pronounced CHEE-GUH, is the Hungarian word for snail. Bugocsiga
(BOO-GO CHEE-GUH) is one of those big wind up tops one
plays with as a child, or whenever. Csiga has been a self described nickname. It is not meant to connote
slowness, but rather a deep thoughtfulness, as in the Hungarian expression 'lassu víz partot mos'-
the slow water washes the shore. I’ve collected similar expressions
in various languages. If you know of another one, please feel free to share
it with me. Currently I work as a multimedia production director, digital production artist and animator. I used to live in San Francisco. My work history can be currently found in my static portfolio. I am currently living in New York and am always looking for work and new experiences. Csiga is my way of electronic contact with people. A kind of portable home. It will probably change in content and design as mood and necessity dictate. Regards, Jonathan Levy (bigaATcsigaDOTcom)
